The reason for this question stems from a mini-debate amongst friends. I have my own suspicions for the results on this matter, and I'm sure the people involved in the mini-debate have theirs.

Dec. 26th, 2007 03:58 pmJust got back now. (Long story short, I decided 5 minutes before I left to go to my mum's instead of my sister's for Xmas - surprisingly there was no drama there :) ). No fights either, which was refreshing. Also amazingly, there were no cooking disasters and only minimal stress there (despite the kitchen feeling like it had been transported to the sun thanks to all the pans on the go).
As well as indigestion for the next 4 days, I came away with:

I found it amusing that in spite of all the games John got for Xmas, and all the stuff on TV, we probably had more fun teaching him to play Hearts than anything else ^^;;
Anyway - going to have a quick nap now as I'm shattered :)

Dec. 12th, 2007 06:13 amOh well, it looks like the xmas presents won't be a surprise after all - they made me write what was in them on a customs sticker. :(
Try not to read the stickers, 'k guys? :)
Oh, and I don't know why I was worrying about the Demon Wall now - completely easy (yay!, although it's a shame games are getting so easy: the one in FFIV killed me more times than I care to count; FFVII's wasn't too bad but annoying; this one I just went in with standard gambits set and hack & slashed it down no bother at all (apart from Balthier getting X-Zoned, but that didn't even matter much)).

I started on FFXII again the other day - I just restarted seeing as I wasn't very far in and it was so long since I played on it last. I'm quite liking it so far (more than I did FFX at least), although I'm getting annoyed at it for following in FFII's footsteps with the whole "Go where we goddamn want you to or we'll throw unkillable monsters from hell in your path so you die and lose all that crap you've been collecting over the last hour". I hated it then and I hate it now. Also, why is it so hard to get goddamn money? While I admit that monsters dropping random shit that you then sell is more realistic than the notion of a blob of jelly or a possessed turnip carrying hard cash, it would be nice if the items actually sold for a decent price :-|
Anyway, I'm going to go try and collect enough bits of bone (worth 193 gil apiece, which depressingly enough is the most valuable thing I've found so far) to get the 20000 gil Forgotten Grimoire so the bits of bone drop more often... (as well as having to spend a good chunk on Phoenix Downs every now and then, seeing as the skeletons that drop aforementioned bone seem to have a vendetta against Basch, attacking him until he drops down dead and ignoring everyone else)
And who said gaming wasn't as fun nowadays?
