Still undecided on seeing Watchmen. Plenty of people have been saying how great it is, but I'm worried that either it'll be as big a rapist of the comic as V4V et al. were, or that I'll be overly critical of it because I expect this even if it's wonderful... :/

Just checking in to say the plane didn't blow up or anything (was going to call when I arrived but then I realised it'd be 5am over there and the call probably wouldn't be appreciated).
Boris has finally stopped trying to embed himself in my face (guess he likes me after all if that's how he reacts after a week without me ^^; ) so now I'm going to feed him and try to get some sleep (been awake for 34 hours now and things are starting to lose their solidity). If I wake up before silly o'clock I'll probably pop up on AIM later, but chances are I won't stir until the leaves turn the way I feel right now...
Oh, and Veronica: I think your mum might be a touch psychic... :O

Right - got the hotel sorted out (thanks Sarah :) ) - Toya let me use her card to book it, got nearly all of the stuff I need (except for a couple of odds & ends I'm going to pick up today), and about to leave now (I'm spending the night at Toya's house to make sure I get up in time for the flight and remember everything - left to my own devices I'd probably forget everything ^^; )

Travel agent phoned this morning to say the hotel (which I assumed they'd booked, what with them phoning and telling me this yesterday >_< ) has no rooms, and the only other one they could find was 30 miles away and more expensive D:
At least I got refunded, but I'm not sure what I'm going to do about somewhere to stay now. Fuck. D:

Looks like I've found a reason for my internet conection being so flaky these last few days - my download speeds are pretty much double what I usually get (downloading the Bioshock demo right now, and instead of the 120kB/s or so I usually get it's hovering around the 240kB/s mark :D ) - could this mean I've finally got a better line installed? Only time will tell... :)

K - went to the passport office with the new photos, and if what the woman at the counter said is true I should have it within time (they'll be phoning in the next couple of days to tell me to make an appointment for an interview, and it'll be sent out 2 days after that) :DDD

Now I'm going to have to get more and send/take them in on Monday. Hopefully the damn things won't need to be countersigned or fuck knows when I'll be able to get them in (Easter break, so probably no Ken at college)
