The block of beige plastic sat on the shelf, baking in the heat radiating from its CPU. Long since had its eyes turned red from exhaustion; long since had it dropped into the eternal sleep like so many of its brothers.
But it didn't care - they could never reach it here. Their piercing screeches through its sound system would set its heatsink on edge no more.
