600 seconds of rubbish...

Trace - Veronica (AIM)
"BRB GUYZ"
The pink bubble scrolled out of sight in the window, it's position supplanted by alternating rows of orange, green and yellow, it's message soon forgotten. Random outpourings about chickens, cans and asian girlfriends beeped their way onto the screen, leaving no trace of Veronica's intent to rejoin the conversation. Even the promise of stories to be written and shared brought no return.
The rest of the group awaited the return of the pink bubbles and the cries of "BACK" nervously, filling in the time by writing whatever filled their minds.
Although it was hard to think of anything else in the end.
On Top Of The Shelf - Rei (SM: Another Story)
The chest was there! She could see it! But eyes couldn't climb the ridiculously tall bookcase alone, so there it would stay. Rei stood there in frustration, idly wondering if it'd be bad form to Burning Mandala bookcase, house and kindly old man alike (the latter kind enough to tell her where to go next, but not quite kind enough to fetch a stepladder to aid her in her plundering of his domicile), but knowing that this wouldn't exactly endear her to the populace withheld her fiery wrath for a more deserving target.
So she left and slogged her way to the temple, all the time wondering what she had missed out on by giving up so easily, and whether she'd get another chance to claim the treasure.
