I wish I could run. It seems like it would be such a great way to relieve stress. Stupid fucked up leg. I have to settle for walking LOL

Walking's good too! Anything that gets your heart rate up -- it just takes longer walking than it does sprinting haha.

Have you considered weight lifting? That's my favorite form of exercise to be honest but I haven't done a lot since my free weights got stolen. Your leg would arguably only be partially limiting -- you could probably still do dead lifts and hang cleans and etc. (though I'd be totally wary of squats), and traditional free weight stuff is a great way to exercise without a lot of need for hard movement, just exerted reptition.

That is a good idea. I need to find me some cheap weights.

Check craigslist! That, or most fitness stores have good cheaper cast iron ones. I do recommend just the plain cast iron ones and not the rubber grip ones, but that's personal preference. My recommendation starting out is to get a pair of free weights (10lbs-15lbs-20lbs depending on what's comfortable for you, don't be afraid to go weightier, but you still need to be able to comfortably do, lets say, 10-20 repetitions for a single motion.

ALSO, get a bar, curling or just plain if you can too. No need for weights or plates to add onto it, just the bar alone is ~45lbs and good for starting out (curling bars are more like 30lbs and have grooves).

And stay away from weight machines. There's less of a range of motion so they're good for like.. if you wanna build up one specific muscle and look all toned in your back/biceps, but have skinny forearms and no abs. Or etc.

THAT'S MY ADVICE.
