Date: 2010-08-06 09:16 pm (UTC)ALSO, get a bar, curling or just plain if you can too. No need for weights or plates to add onto it, just the bar alone is ~45lbs and good for starting out (curling bars are more like 30lbs and have grooves).
And stay away from weight machines. There's less of a range of motion so they're good for like.. if you wanna build up one specific muscle and look all toned in your back/biceps, but have skinny forearms and no abs. Or etc.
THAT'S MY ADVICE.
