Jaffa Cakes and Sodomy

Internet acting up even worse than usual - it's like it knows someone'll be coming around tomorrow to put a stop to it, so it's making the most of it ^^;

Not even sure I'll be able to get on AIM at all tonight it's being that flaky - I'll try in a bit though (although it'll probably just stress me out more) :|

Well, whatever the problem with my connection is, it's not my fault - I bought a new phone & microfilter today and moved the router so I wasn't using an extension, but it's still happening. Strangely the phone is still dead, although I've been reconnected (or I wouldn't have the ADSL working).

I have a feeling it's a line fault now, rather than a problem with my ISP - looking at the router logs it seems to be getting a lot of noise (if I'm reading it right - it's not very clear).

I'll try contacting BT and seeing if they know what's up, as now I'm paying for both phone and internet and neither are usable. :|

Yay!!! I woke up this morning and they've reconnected my internet! :DDD

OK, apparently my new line is connected, although you could've fooled me by the way picking up the phone results in silence...

I'm going to pick up a new phone today while I'm out in case the old one is broken, but I'm not really holding much hope at the moment. In any case, if they say they've reconnected it that probably means it won't be long before it actually is reconnected, and then I'll be able to phone Tiscali with the new number to get the broadband transferred to the new line (hopefully that bit won't take very long - I can't remember how long it took when I moved house as the time to connect the phone line was part of it then too)

In other news, I seem to be out of the depression I've been in for the last few weeks, so I'm pretty happy about that. Here's hoping it lasts :D

OK, it happened again - got to about 1am and everything became slow, but appeared to be fine this morning. It's like they're telling me to get to bed at a decent time or something D:

I put in a support request with Tiscali, but I'm not really expecting much to come of it - I'll probably just get something akin to "Is your computer plugged in?" 9_9

Having said that, I should really be grateful I have an internet connection at all, seeing as BT decided to disconnect my phone on the day I paid the bill, and now are asking for £125 just to reconnect it. *stupid near-monopoly of the British phone network* D:<

Oh, and for some reason the college lets me onto y!Gallery - pretty strange, seeing as I can't even get onto forums here. Nice, although I'm a bit wary of going there in case the tutor decides to look at what I'm doing and sees a screenful of gay sex... XD
