Well, whatever the problem with my connection is, it's not my fault - I bought a new phone & microfilter today and moved the router so I wasn't using an extension, but it's still happening. Strangely the phone is still dead, although I've been reconnected (or I wouldn't have the ADSL working).
I have a feeling it's a line fault now, rather than a problem with my ISP - looking at the router logs it seems to be getting a lot of noise (if I'm reading it right - it's not very clear).
I'll try contacting BT and seeing if they know what's up, as now I'm paying for both phone and internet and neither are usable. :|
