I've had a thing for Japanese (and Korean, but that's a separate tag) horror movies and novels ever since I first saw Ring years ago; there's just something about their style compared to the Western one that I love. I think a lot of it is how they rely on suspense and psychological horror rather than giving it all away, leaving it up to the viewer to decide what's going on. It makes me happy that Western cinema is picking up on this, but they still love exposition way too much - everything has to be laid out flat for the viewer.
2. I don't actually know why I like this one... I think it's partly because I saw Urotsukidouji so young and it warped my mind. XD
3. I've been making clothes since I was 18 or so - less nowadays, but it's still something I really enjoy. There's something really satisfying about starting with a pencil and a sheet of manilla paper and ending up with a shirt or something. I keep meaning to do more of it, but it's finding the space (and keeping the cat at bay...). :|
4. It doesn't really make sense, but I've always loved girl/girl pairings (more so than het ones - they hardly ever spark much interest in me). I think it started with Haruka/Michiru (BSSM) - definitely the sweetest couple in the show... much better than Mamoru/Usagi. Ritsuko/Maya (NGE) is also a favourite :D
5. Anyone who sets out to make themselves into a freak is worthy of admiration in my eyes; Leigh Bowery, Pete Burns, Lolo Ferrari... these are my heroes. Putting self-expression before acceptance is one of the best things a person can do.

You wouldn't believe the amount of posts I hold back on LP - if I turned the filter off I'd probably get banned within the week... ^^;
3. Kind of goes along with the previous one - people tend to get more irate when there's an element of fear involved. (see recent playing with LM - I managed to get him to ask if I was someone he knew IRL... a job well done :3 ). I try (with varying degrees of success) to apply this to my writing also - any strong reaction is a good one, be it love, fear or outright revulsion. :)
4. I have a child's love of bright colours - you guys probably noticed that when we met up, what with the love for dayglo. :) This is the main reason I like dying my hair (and plan to keep it up - I went too long without last time :( ) - it's not to be "different" or anything; just that I like greens, oranges and so on much more than plain old reddy-brown.
5. It might be surprising (given that I tend to live on a diet of coffee, cigs and store-bought sammiches), but I'm a pretty good cook - one of my favourite stress-relieving activities is going into the kitchen and whipping up a nice meal. Also, I make a mean miso soup. :D
6. I haven't been playing bass as long as piano (only 5 years or so), but it's pretty enjoyable - one of the main reasons I like ska is because of the fun basslines involved (Superman by Goldfinger is just <3 to play :) ).
