How about a brief introduction for yourself?
Anyone who's likely to be reading this probably knows me by now.
Fabulous! And what got you into fanfiction to begin with?
Not sure really :/
I see, so what kind of fanfiction do you like to write?
Vignettes, mostly - I'd rather do something concentrating on one scene or moment and make it interesting than ramble on through a big, overarching plot. There's no real genre I tend to stick to, although I generally stay away from romance.
Do you find writing easy? Hard? What are the most difficult aspects of writing you struggle with?
It depends on how I'm feeling, really - sometimes (usually the times when my vision doesn't work properly and I can't stand up...) it flows really easily; other times it's like getting blood from a stone. I think my biggest weakness is coming up with enough of a plot to make longer stories; when I've tried this it normally ends up going off on tangent after tangent.
Write a few sentences or so of your favorite pairing or character.
Not really in the mood at the moment - maybe later...
Are there any fanfiction clichés or trends you're sick of or just can't stand?
The whole seme/uke thing. Idiotic.
Are you guilty of any fanfiction clichés you hate? Or any other ones?
Most likely.
What was the first fandom you wrote for, and do you still like/participate in it?
It'd be either Zelda, FF7 or Sailor Moon probably; if it's the former then I still write for it.
Name your OTPs or most frequently written pairings/characters and explain what it is about them that you love to write.
I don't really have "OTP"s as such, nor do I write much in the way of romance (also, weirdly, my favourite pairings to write for aren't necessarily my favourite pairings overall). My tastes tend to run towards "hate pairings" though - Seifer/Zell, Marluxia/Vexen and the like, which probably means I have some sort of deep-seated psychological problem. ^^;
What would you call your writing “style”?
I'm not sure, really - I'll just opt for "immature" :D
Do you read other people's fanfic? If so, what do you find yourself reading the most?
Definitely - much more than I write. I can't say I have a favourite type to read (although I do have a penchant for badfic :D ), but I tend to prefer horror and angst to sappy stuff.
Name one thing you'd LOVE to write, but have been too afraid or shy to do.
Not sure about the "afraid or shy" part (never stopped me before, after all), but there's a few things I'd like to write but stay away from because I don't think anyone who reads this journal would be interested.
Do you have trouble taking criticism? Or worse yet, do you have the dreaded bloated ego?
I love criticism (as long as it's not just "You're shit - write better" obviously). Who wouldn't want to know how they can improve?
When you write, is there anything that helps? Music? Quiet room?
Loud music (preferable electro or similar) and copious amounts of rosé wine.
What inspires you?
Haven't a clue.
Lastly, how would you sum up your fanfiction experiences and yourself as a writer?
Green ^^;
