aw, i think that's kind of screwed up. i mean strictly following the TOS, that's true, but that whole section is based on trying to quantify ridiculous rules about what an 'anthro' is and is not. they had to figure out really specific, strange rules just to make it so they could allow catboys and nagas, but not actual furries. almost everyone i've talked to thinks the wording of that rule is ridiculous, there would be no need for a stupid list of exclusions if the mods were just told to exercise their discretion about whether a character is a furry or not, the same way they do when determining whether a female character in a pic is in a featured position or not. i think they should just take anthro art on a case by case basis - if someone who mostly draws humans submits one picture of nightcrawler or beast boy, then leave it there, if a furry artist who draws anthropomorphic animals 90% of the time tries to fill their gallery with furry stuff containing no humans then delete them, that would cause way less drama than the current plan and still fix the issue of snover not wanting y!g to turn into a furry site. A lot of that rule was originally written by Massive Destruction anyway and she's completely left the fandom and the site *shrug*
if you were to crop the head off of a human looking demon with claws and show just the body from the neck down, that would be allowed, and you wouldn't be able to tell if it had a headcrab on its face or not. i don't see why it's that different from Pyramid Head, i mean no one knows what's under his helmet but he's still allowed. guess that means this guy isn't allowed on y!g either haha
Yeah - it'd be a lot better for them to deal with it case-by-case :|
I'd never have even thought about it being classed as anthro TBH - the reason I checked in the first place was that it would feature non-humans (the attached headcrabs, not the zombies themselves).
Nightcrawler's not allowed? O_o I'd've thought he would get through under the fantasy creatures exception (seeing as he's based on a devil rather than an animal).
The whole thing's just a mess, really :|
Ah well - I'll just post them here when I finish; it's not the end of the world :)
