Bearing loot and leftover turkey with which to make sammiches. :D

Not much in the way of presents (it's been a bad year for all of us, money-wise), but what I did get (A YARD OF JAFFA CAKES, Fallout New Vegas and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days*) was pretty awesome.  Dinner, amazingly, went without a hitch - everything seemed to get cooked on schedule, there was no last minute chaos with everyone squeezing into the kitchen to do their respective jobs, no dogs ate the turkey and it even got served hot. Okay, the gravy didn't thicken very well (and I didn't want to risk adding too much cornflour in case it got irredeemably lumpy), but apart from that HUGE SUCCESS. Also guy who may possibly be my boyfriend (henceforth to be known as Will, as it's much easier to type) texted me just after midnight Xmas Eve to wish me Merry Christmas, which was sweet. <3 Doctor Who was... okay. Not my favourite episode by a long chalk, but as the Christmas specials go it's definitely one of the better ones (much better than, for instance, Dervla Kirwan riding a giant Cyberman mecha - WTF was that one supposed to be?). As for the rest of the Christmas TV that wasn't Emmerdale or Coronation Street yeah... even more dire than usual, but I was glad to see Channel 4 kept up their annual tradition of showing a 70s horror film at midnight Christmas night - this year it was Carrie; always a classic. :)

*I've already completed Days but I only had it on my Acekard, so it was nice to have a physical copy to add to my otherwise-complete KH collection.

You get horror movies? No fair.

We get shitty movies so sappy and sweet you get cavities just looking at them.

Glad you had a good holiday.

Oh, we get plenty of the Tastes Like Diabetes stuff too, don't worry (I was distracted by cooking most of the day, but there was one with Dawson and the mother from Everybody Loves Raymond on in the background that seemed very much that kind of thing) - it's just a tradition with Channel 4 that they show a classic 70s horror film as an antidote to all the saccharine; this year Carrie, the year before Black Christmas (another favourite), the one before that Tales From the Crypt 2 IIRC... very kind of them, IMO. :D
