 Got my hair tidied up today, so I'm not meeting gunnhildr  tomorrow looking like crap. Behold the asymmetry~

Could really do with dyeing (I'm thinking fuchsia, with the sides either left natural or chartreuse), but can't afford that this week. :(

(also, pet away - the spikes are done with styling putty that's one step down from wood glue, then heat-set until rock hard; they can withstand a hell of a lot of abuse C: )

The dye job - dye hair fluorescent yellow months ago, let it grow out.

The cut - shave the sides down to grade 2, get a friend to put patterns in (stripes by hand, crosshatch with the aid of masking tape).

The 'hawk - going in handfuls from the front, work in the strongest product I could find (Fructis Manga Hair Putty - nearly as strong as wood glue but washes straight out) then set until hard with a hairdryer on high.
