The unnaturalness of it is kind of disturbing, yeah (same with the tritium-green pigs they did a while back), although the ability to virally patch genes like that could have huge disease-preventing effects. (Also less scary when looked at next to what people have been doing to dogs for centuries via pedigree breeding - wolf/dhole to pekingese seems even more dramatic to me, somehow :o ).
