haha i got it in 5 minutes but at least half of that was spent trying to spell 'connecticut', 'mississippi' and 'tennessee'
im also probably at around a .25 BAC right now so i'd say that comes close to maybe passing an elementary school civics class, whatever

One minute, 41 seconds.

And I listed them all in alphabetical order, too.

Haha, it doesn't surprise me that I failed the test - I've never been good at reciting stuff off the top of my head. And when you live in a place, there's a lot you take for granted.

So tell me, Paul, how'd you do on the English counties exam? ;-)

6'42" for all 48 (not bad, considering how long some of the names are - "East Riding of Yorkshire", anyone? :) )

*shrugs* It's embarrassing, but I'm not going to get upset about it. It just means I need to take a look at a map every so often.

In sixth grade, I used to be able to say all of the European countries faster than when I could the states. XD I'm doomed to forget you, my native soil.

Yeah,it's no big, really - all it really proves is that my brain is in fact a ball of duct tape that any old crap sticks to, useful or not ^^;

I think it makes you uneasy as an American because it one of those nagging reminders that your education was not all it was cracked up to be. When you forget the really simple things, it acts like a spring mechanism at times - reminds you that the tragic state of the public schooling over here really forces people to be their own teachers. ;-; I've really got to get back to the history books I was reading earlier this year. College just killed any interest I had in bookreading outside of the semester.
