Pokemon meme thing

That petalsinthewind  did ages ago but I've only just got around to (I'm in a Pokemon-type mood recently). I decided to use glows instead of labels for the types as yeah... it was looking pretty crowded already.

Oh, I can't not have an Ampharos in my team whenever gen II pokes are available. And with the exception of Piplup when I got Diamond, I seem to always go for the fire starter, twisted firestarter. What's up with that?

But still, hee. Pokemon is so ridiculously addictive.

And I have no Pokemon icon. I must rectify that at some point.

I always go for the Water-type starter myself (even in Pearl, where there were next to no fire types and one would really have come in handy ^^; )

The blackface thing with Gen I Jynx was indeed yerg (although I tend to cut Japan a little more slack wrt that kind of thing than I would Western nations - as with lots of anime stylings it's what they learned from early American animation and it just doesn't have the connotations there it does in the West. Also, there's no clear reason as to why Jynx would be modelled on a black woman - the blackface seems to be an unfortunate coincidence there, with the likely origin for her being the Yama Uba), but she was a major player in my Gen I-II lineup - an awesome glass cannon with the potential to be really annoying.

Your favourite for each type, although if you're anything like me and play with your favourites rather than the "best" ones there's sure to be some overlap - out of these there's only 3 (Altaria, Sableye & Jirachi) that haven't been part of my main lineups.
