I bruise my legs on a regular basis here lately too, only around the sides of my knees though. ...And mostly on my right one. Dark, ugly colored bruises sometimes. But it's due to the sharp corners of the trunk at the foot of my bed that I bump into due to Mat's computer chair. Now that we no longer have the trunk this problem should hopefully stop.
If it continues to happen to you and doesn't seem normal I'd see a doctor.
