Jun. 23rd, 2008 10:56 amYou know how sometimes people on your friend's list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when are they working THERE? Since when are they dating HIM/HER? since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you *should* already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.
Please copy mine below, erase my answers putting yours in their place then post it in your journal! Please elaborate on the questions that would benefit from elaboration! One-Word-Answers seldom help anyone out :)
01. First name: Paul
02. Age: 25, 26 in early August
03. Location: Just outside of Stanley, County Durham (near a wide place in the road called "No Place" :'D ). Managed to get out (to Hull, East Yorks) in 2000-2001, but (depressingly enough) ended up back here. I'm planning on upping sticks to North America (Seattle or Toronto, probably) when I can; hopefully that will get me out of this shitty little village's event horizon...
04. Hometown: The above. I really hate living here, but for some reason feel like I can't escape (even though I know it's really as simple as "look for job & flat in London, get on train, fuck off" it seems like the biggest possible thing. :( ). Anyway, about Stanley: small town (would be called a village if it hadn't been some important mining area way back when), population mostly old people and chavs (basically the Brit version of rednecks for those unfamiliar with the term; stupid, violent and badly-dressed), surrounded by farmland, dead. On the plus side it's close to Newcastle, so there's some form of escape within reasonable distance.
05. Occupation: Just got out of college, so can't really get out of this one by putting "Student" any more. Nothing right now, but I'm looking for something to pay the bills, as well as working on a design portfolio so that I may go freelance.
06. Partner: Taking into account my history with relationships reads like some sort of rogues gallery of physical and mental abuse and fuckwittery, I gave up on them all together a couple of years ago. Casual sex & fuckbuddies I don't mind, but yeah... not in a relationship frame of mind right now, really.
07. Kids: If there's one reason I'm glad I'm a faggot this is it. (although I do love my sister's kids - being an uncle I can handle :) )
08. Brothers/Sisters: 2 sisters and 1 brother (although I try to forget about the latter).
09. Pets: A bitey and unbelievably noisy cat called Boris who probably only doesn't kill me in my sleep because he knows he'd starve after my corpse gets picked clean.
10. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life:
- Just out of college and not really sure what to do with myself.
- Seriously looking into emigration - hope to get it done as soon as possible.
- I've had a problem with my upper back since my teens where it's impossible for me not to slouch and I get lots of pain because of it (especially when I stand still for too long), and I'm finally going to try and get it sorted out.
- I might be going to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August, depending on whether I can afford it.

- Mum: Aging hippy, remarried to a guy who's actually decent, finally shot of my violent leech of a brother and seeming happier because of this.
- Dad: Paranoid schizophrenic and junkie, left when I was 9, dunno if he's still alive, don't really care.
- George: Midget(not really) with Sephiroth hair, really into music, currently teaching him to play piano & use FL Studio.
12. Who are some of your closest friends?: RL, I'm mostly solitary, but probably Eve & Sheila; OL,gunnhildr, wrongly_amused, mintylim, sarshin, taure & gilhamilton.
13. Do you drink/smoke?: Yes/yes. I don't drink as much as I used to (which is a good thing: it means it's a lot cheaper for me to get drunk nowadays :D ), but I smoke like a trooper (around 20 a day, down from 30+ but not planning on quitting any time soon). For expense's sake I might replace the majority with nicotine gum though (like I did when I was on holiday), but no way I'm quitting all together.
14. Tattoos/Piercings: Currently only a labret. Used to have my ears & eyebrow done but I let them heal over (think I might get them done again though). Several others I've been thinking of getting for a while now; just a case of remembering when I have the money and am somewhere with a piercing studio ^^;
