LOL I totally did not expect that reaction to my comment at all! I guess that's what I get for not thinking about the feelings of straight people!

ps, ilu too, bb!

Did you ever think people wouldn't be so homophobic if gay people weren't so meeeeaaaaan all the time? T___T

Ha ha, oh wow. I missed that one. That, or I was just too busy going FFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU at Ms. "I do somewhat believe that homosexuality isn't how things are supposed to be BUT I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU ~*CHOOSE*~ TO DO" in that other clusterfuck.

Hmm, the only thing I'll agree slightly with one of the posters there is that I do sometimes feel like these movements remove some of the individual tragedy in them. I get what the one poster is saying when about people becoming "talking points," though the the conclusion he draws from it is ridiculously fail-worthy. No, the world isn't going to change overnight because of an Internet memorial post, but it sure as hell isn't going to change if you stay quiet, either.

Ms. "I do somewhat believe that homosexuality isn't how things are supposed to be BUT I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU ~*CHOOSE*~ TO DO"

Yeah... it's been quite the couple of days for het-fail there. :]

I should try to be ~nicer~ in future... if I don't consider the poor straight people's feelings then who will? WHO WILL? C:

This is true, yeah.

The focus was meant to be on the comment thread though, where some guy decided to make what redstar said all about him and ~corrected~ her (then got satisfyingly dogpiled - not something that happens every day when it's queer issues being discussed). I didn't want to touch the actual post being snarked with someone else's - unbelievable amounts of fail there. D:

WTF was that shit?

[identity profile] wrongly-amused.livejournal.com 2010-10-07 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
It was sort of a nice change to see a dogpile go the other way, I agree. :)
