My poor abused mouth is forcing me to warn:

When seasoning a meatball sub, a thick layer of jalapeños is a good thing.

A thick layer of the strange, lumpy yellow chillies I bought because the shop was out of jalapeños? Less good.

On the plus side I think the feeling's coming back now...
